This is rare to say for a construction project in the current environment, but at this site set-up and prep phase, we're completely on track this month, and actually - it gets even better: we are ahead of where we'd programmed for some jobs by 1 - 2 weeks. A significant number of materials have/are being delivered to site this month (including steel studs, the much talked about GIB linings and structural reinforcement).
What's coming up next month:
Most structural work for Avalon Apartments starts early July, as you can see from the scheduled work below:
Strengthening:
• Level 9 strengthening. • Basement strengthening. • Concrete pour on the ground floor.
Exterior works:
• External windows demolition. • Scaffold construction.
Fit-out works:
• Majority of apartment wall framing complete, and one side wall framing to have a gib sheet attached. • Framing for apartment ceilings starts. • Start the installation of services (plumbing, ducts for ventilation and exhausts, fire sprinkler and hydrant systems).
Consents:
All required building consents have been approved, and the resource consent requirements are actively being closed out by the project team members.
Below is a selection of photos (taken 17th June) of each level from the ground up.
