We’ve had a frustrating month at Avalon. Some additional demolition work has been highlighted on-site and needs to be completed before the fit-out works can recommence. Unfortunately, this will result in some delays and Black Interiors are currently confirming exactly what the impact on our completion dates will be and seeking to minimise these wherever possible.
We do however have some good news! We’ve been making up some lost time by procuring the remaining materials needed. We’ve signed off all ‘shop drawings’ which means that manufacturing of all kitchen and bathroom joinery can start, and we’re all go on the exterior. Steel manufacturing is well underway for strengthening, and the windows for the ground floor and the apartment levels of 4 – 9 have all been ordered. We’re also pleased to announce that a very large order of GIB was craned in, a major relief to all.
