Happy New Year!
The construction team returned early January and have continued progress with the ground floor strip-out (the final floor to be completely stripped in preparation for the new apartment development and tower strengthening scheme).
The main contractor is currently procuring trades and developing the associated time schedules to start the strengthening and apartment fit-out works onsite. We expect to see the main contractor take control of site at the start of March 2022.
Two building consents were lodged last year, one for strengthening and the other for apartment fit-out. The project team are eagerly awaiting Hutt City Council response towards the approved building consent applications.
Once the strengthening scheme is approved by Hutt City Council, and the main contractor has trades and materials procured, the main works onsite will start.
