Taita is one of the eastern-most suburbs of Lower Hutt, situated toward the northern end of the city. It is in a convenient location as it is only a few minutes’ drive to the Lower Hutt CBD, and has easy access to the motorway as you head towards Avalon over the Kennedy Good Bridge.

The Walter Nash stadium recently redeveloped is one of Lower Hutt’s leading indoor sporting venues for basketball, netball and volleyball. It now holds five indoor courts, a community centre, library and meeting spaces for community groups and local businesses to use.
